Congratulations to Donovan Starks, the 2018 “Male” Tee Divas & Tee Dudes Gale “Par Lady” James Memorial Scholarship recipient. This $500 award is given twice yearly to a male and female student who is involved in a formal golf program in their school or community.
Donovan is a senior at Dorsey High School. He was introduced to golf by his father. Since joining the First Tee Golf program at the age of 7, Donovan has maintained his love of the game playing in junior programs and competing in tournaments throughout the state.
Due to his leadership, Donovan was selected to be the Captain of Dorsey’s Boys Varsity Golf Team in his junior year and continues to hold that position. He has competed in the city golf finals on two occasions and is currently an 8 handicap.
