While training to run the 2003 Los Angeles Marathon, I was introduced to the game of golf through the Women in Golf Program, a subsidiary of Western States Golf Association. My good friend and golf mentor, Gale James encouraged me to join Tee Divas & Tee Dudes golf Club. My husband a long time golfer was surprised that I developed a love and passion for golf; there was a time when I had membership with seven clubs.
My Chicago family found it hard to believe that I was involved in sports, as a kid sports was not my forte. Those of you who know me, know when I commit I’m all in! During my membership with The Tee Divas & Tee Dudes Golf Club I cheerfully took on leadership roles starting with attending the Executive Board meetings as The Player Development Program Chair. Subsequently, I accepted the position as a club officer, in addition to chairing several of the club’s fundraisers (Lupus, Heart Association, Gale James Scholarship).
With honor and humility and lots of persuasion, I assumed the responsibility of serving as your club’s second president. This is a first-class yet fun organization that was established to bring people of all skill levels together to play on beautiful golf courses. We are destined to stay active in community service while traveling the world. Considering the club has the most dedicated members, I am inspired by what brought this club to its present day and certainly look forward to its future. Stay confident knowing that we have leaders with integrity standing by my side.
Let’s remain energized as we collectively continue to support the mission and purpose of our club while building its membership.
Feel free to approach me, the Executive Board Members or any of the general members to provide the resources you seek to advance your game, while you stay focused on having fun on the golf course.
